According to RIA Novosti. Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, expressed North Korea’s readiness to support measures taken by Russian authorities to resolve the Ukraine crisis.
The Russian diplomatic agency reported on Saturday that Lavrov and Kim Jong-un met during the Russian Foreign Minister’s visit to Ukraine.
“Comrade Kim Jong-un once again expressed North Korea’s readiness to continue unconditionally supporting all measures taken by the Russian leadership to fundamentally resolve the situation in Ukraine, in accordance with the spirit of the interstate agreement between North Korea and the Russian Federation,” the agency said in a statement.
Kim Jong-un emphasized that North Korea and the Russian Federation share common views on all strategic issues, consistent with the level of their alliance, and stated that this demonstrates the high strategic level of relations between the countries. According to KCNA, during his meeting with North Korean leader Lavrov, he stated that he wanted to convey his warm greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
