Elon Musk’s claim that Donald Trump is connected to the Jeffrey Epstein case emerged in a post he shared on the X platform on June 5, 2025.
Musk made a remarkable accusation by saying, “Trump is also in the Epstein files. That’s why they didn’t make it public.” However, this claim is not based on any evidence confirmed by the available information and has received wide coverage on social media as a controversial issue.
Jeffrey Epstein was investigated in 2005 on charges of sexual abuse of underage girls and creating a prostitution network, was convicted of one charge in 2008 and was found dead in prison in 2019.
Epstein’s relationships with many famous names in his circle, such as Trump, Bill Clinton, and Prince Andrew, have been documented, but the direct connection of these names to the crime has not been confirmed. It is known that Trump traveled on Epstein’s private plane seven times, but this does not constitute evidence for the accusations.
Musk’s claim is a continuation of his previously speculative statements regarding the Epstein case. For example, in an interview with Tucker Carlson in October 2024, he suggested that some billionaires supported Kamala Harris because they were afraid of Epstein’s client list being released. However, such claims remain speculation unless they are supported by concrete evidence.
Reuters has denied that Musk would release a “client list” regarding Epstein or Sean Combs.
The documents related to the Epstein case were made public in 2024 and most of them contained previously known information.
The FBI announced in 2025 that it would release security camera footage of Epstein’s death, supporting the suicide ruling, but this has not stopped the conspiracy theories. Musk’s latest claim has reignited these discussions, but it has not yet been confirmed by any official documents or investigations.
Musk’s statement may be a reflection of his growing tensions with Trump, as he also made other posts criticizing Trump on X during the same period.
However, more evidence and official investigations are needed to verify such claims. Since the Epstein case is a sensitive and complex matter, one should be careful about speculation and only consider verified information.
