United Airlines has grounded flights at major airports across the US due to a “technology issue.”
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) website states that the airline’s mainline flights have been ordered to ground at their departure airports, causing problems at airports such as Chicago, Denver, Houston, San Francisco, and New Jersey.
“We expect additional flight delays this evening as we work to resolve this issue,” United told the BBC’s US partner, CBS News.
“Safety is our top priority, and we will work with our customers to get them to their destinations,” the company said.
