Earlier today, Trump told European leaders that he plans to hold a bilateral meeting with Putin following Witkoff’s meeting in Russia and a trilateral meeting with Zelenskyy shortly thereafter.
White House: Russian officials have expressed a desire to meet with Trump, and US President Trump is open to meeting with both President Putin and President Zelenskyy.
Russian leader Putin informed US Ambassador Witkoff that he wants to meet face-to-face with Trump for peace talks in Ukraine.
Planning is reportedly underway for when and where the meeting will take place. Istanbul is a possible location for the meeting.
Zelenskyy stated that he attended the meeting between European leaders and Trump.
NOTE: During this meeting, Trump and Putin later decided to hold a trilateral meeting with Trump, Putin, and Zelenskyy.
