1,411 people were killed and 3,124 injured in the devastating earthquake that struck Kunar province in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday night.

Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that at least 1,411 people were killed in Kunar province, the hardest-hit province by the 6.0 magnitude earthquake.
In a post on X, he stated that at least 3,124 people were injured and more than 5,400 homes were destroyed.
