According to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), a magnitude 6.2 earthquake has struck southeastern Afghanistan.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the earthquake occurred late Sunday at a depth of approximately 35 kilometers. Seismologists noted that details such as the magnitude, depth, and epicenter of the earthquake may be updated as further assessments are conducted and other institutions publish their findings.
